    The firm has been involved in Aviation Law practice since 1986 and has contributed to the on-going reforms in the aviation industry. We acted as legal consultants to the defunct Nigeria Airways and Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority. We have recovered compensation on behalf of victims of aviation accidents and air crashes from various airlines including Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Pan - African Airlines, ADC Airlines, EAS Airlines, Air Eagles and Bristow Airlines.



    The firm has worked for many banks, especially Union Bank, which has retained the services of the firm for more than 15 years.  This firm was the pioneer legal retainer to the National Economic Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND).  Assignments under this head have included:


    • Preparation and perfection of Debentures, Mortgages, Trust deeds; and other security instruments and deeds;


    • Advising on syndications and loan transactions generally;

    The firm has been retained by many banks, including Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc and Spring Bank Plc for the recovery sums owed them by defaulters.At the moment, the Principal of the Firm is one of the private lawyers retained to assist the Federal Government recover government funds being held abroad by the family of Late Head of State, General Sani Abacha. Also the Principal Partner is engaged by the Federal Government for the recovery of monies in the Siemen Scandal.



    Mr. Paul Erokoro has been involved in domestic and international arbitration since 1989. In that year he was elected the first Vice President of the Nigerian Arbitration Association. In the year 1993, he acted as Counsel to Nigeria Hotels Limited, a company wholly owned by the Federal Government of Nigeria, in arbitration against the Cross River State Government over the ownership of Metropolitan Hotel, Calabar. He obtained an award of N36m in favour of Nigeria Hotels. It was at the time the highest domestic arbitration award in Nigeria.


    The firm has been involved in many other arbitrations since. In recognition of his standing in the arbitration community, Mr. Erokoro was invited to deliver a paper at the 1st International Workshop on International Commercial Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution in Africa, which was held in Abuja in July 2004. His paper titled “Judicial Intervention in International Commercial Arbitration” has now being published in the book “Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution in Africa” edited by Dr. C.J. Amasike FCI Arb.

    The National Insurance Corporation of Nigeria (NICON) has retained us for many years, as one of their legal advisers.  In this capacity we have, on their behalf, represented NICON and other companies like Shell Petroleum Development Company Ltd in commercial and other disputes. The firm acted as private sector advisers to the office of the Attorney general of the Federation during the formulation of the new Pensions Policy and drafting of the revised Pensions Act.

    • We also consulted for the Nigerian Electric Power Authority (NEPA) in the negotiations with ESKOM South Africa for establishment of NEPSKOM Long Distance Telecommunications Joint Venture in Nigeria.

    •  We are Solicitors to Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications Ltd (M-Tel).


    • In May 2004, Paul Erokoro attended the International Telecommunications Summit in Egypt, the only Nigerian private sector lawyer to do so.
